Helping Women Start Profitable Businesses That Create More Time, Income, and Freedom

From "Babies Having Babies" to Certified Public Accountant

My name is Charlene Mashia—and my life is proof that your past doesn’t cancel your purpose.

Today, I help women turn their God‑given ideas into purpose‑filled, profitable businesses without compromising their faith. But my journey didn’t start with boardrooms or business plans—it started at 16, young and pregnant.

To many, I was just another statistic. “Babies having babies,” they said—even in the church—and I was told I would never go to college and would be a burden on the system. But that didn’t define me; it fueled me.

And despite everything spoken over me, God said, “Not so.” His plans for my life were—and still are—far greater (Jeremiah 29:11). Against the odds, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a master’s degree in Taxation, and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

I’ve worked with global brands like Nike and Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) and later founded my own tax and accounting practice, which I still maintain today.

From teen motherhood to corporate boardrooms, from subsidized housing to home ownership, from a baby on my hip to a business owner, and from “they counted me out” to ordained minister, I don’t speak from theory—I speak from experience that I willingly share with you.

I am a wife to Lance; a mother to Adrian, Savannah, and Edward; and a proud grandmother to Adrian Jr., Nylah, and Axel. My life is busy—but full.

My Calling: Raising Up Biblicalpreneurs

My calling is rooted in 1 Peter 4:10—to serve others by using my gifts. Gifts sharpened in the classroom, refined in the boardroom, and sustained in the upper room.

I bring real‑world business experience to conversations about purpose and profit, faith and finances—showing women how to build in a way that not only generates income, but creates the flexibility and freedom to actually enjoy the life they’re building.

As The Biblicalpreneur™, my passion is to raise up successful biblicalpreneurs for the advancement of the Kingdom. My mission is to help women stop thinking about it and start being about it—by starting businesses that honor God, serve people, and create real impact and real income.

My BHAG (Big, Hairy, Audacious Goal): to raise up 100,000 women‑owned businesses, each giving $1 million toward the Kingdom—$100 billion total. Sounds wild, ain’t it? Good. It wouldn’t be a BHAG if I thought I could do it in my own strength. This is a God-sized assignment—and for Him, it’s light work. Won’t even break a sweat!

Now the real question is… will you be one of the 100,000?

Why I Wrote Her Hustle Is Holy™

I know that because I’ve been there.

By the prompting of the Holy Spirit, I wrote Her Hustle Is Holy™: The Glow‑Up Guide to Starting a Business—God’s Way to help aspiring biblicalpreneurs take their first leap of faith.Inside, I show you how to build profitably with God as your CEO, honor your hustle using your God‑given gifts, move from surviving to thriving, silence doubt (one of the most deadly dream snatchers), and handle your business without losing your peace or power.

That’s why I openly share my personal and professional trials and triumphs, so you don’t have to learn everything the hard way. In Her Hustle Is Holy, I give you practical tools, biblical wisdom, and real strategy to step into your glow‑up era and finally start that business—God’s way.

This book is for every woman ready to hustle smart, hustle strong, and hustle holy.

From Survival to Seeing the World

Along the way, God expanded my world far beyond business—taking me places and putting me in rooms that sixteen‑year‑old me, with a baby to love and nurture, could have never imagined. What started as survival has grown into a life of freedom and global experiences.

After reading The 4-Hour Workweek in 2014, something shifted. I started intentionally building a life where I could work from anywhere in the world. My first step was moving my tax and accounting practice from a brick‑and‑mortar office to my home—and that one decision opened the door to greater flexibility, new opportunities, and the ability to work, travel, and live life on my terms.

The moments you’re about to see aren’t just travel highlights—they’re proof of what’s possible when you intentionally create time and financial freedom. And through it all, it has led me into an even deeper life of purpose… including writing this book.

World Traveler

After reading the quote, “There’s a big world out there… go explore it,” I was instantly bitten by the travel bug. A seed was planted, and later watered in college through Art History classes that sparked my desire to see the world’s most iconic places and masterpieces.

Not long after graduation, a line from Tevin Campbell’s Confused—“Every night I dream of places I've never been to…”—ignited that dream for good, and my bucket list was born.

Many of these adventures I've shared with my husband, including: riding a camel deep into the Sahara Desert; trekking through the Cinque Terre; marveling at the masterpieces of the Sistine Chapel in Rome, David in Florence, and the Last Supper in Milan; soaking in the volcanic hot springs in Iceland; shopping the souks of Marrakesh; riding a scenic train through the Swiss Alps; visiting museums in Mexico City; walking the cobblestone streets of Charleston, SC; exploring the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona; kicking back in Cali.

Getting lost in Old Town Nice; wandering around Washington, DC; people‑watching in Paris; living it up in London; vibing in Venice; jamming in Jamaica; hula’ing in Hawaii; cat‑walking in Cannes; seeing the sunrise in Cabo and the sunset in Puerto Vallarta; dipping our toes in the Mediterranean Sea; strolling along the canals in Amsterdam; cruising through Alaska; observing the animal kingdom in Africa; gazing at the majesty of the Grand Canyon; playing in Panama, standing in awe of Niagara Falls; eating cheesesteaks in Philly, gumbo in New Orleans, barbeque in Kansas City, lobster rolls in Boston; and taking New York City by storm, among many other adventures.

With every experience, we move closer to our goal of visiting all seven continents and all fifty states—stacking perspectives, lessons, and inspiration that stay with us long after the bags are unpacked!

The experiences I’ve gathered along the way shape how I connect with people—and the impact of that connection is reflected in the words of those who’ve walked alongside me and witnessed the journey.
